Boxed Christmas tree lights made by Philips in Holland pre-war (circa 1935). The many coloured Bakelite lamps holders are extremely rare. The last three lights didn't light up for some reason when the set was plugged into the mains electricity (220 volts) but when each of the three bulbs was individually removed and tested using the meter shown in the photo all three filaments demonstrated continuity. I don't want to disturb the original factory packing by investigating further as I think that is a decision for the buyer! Box 17ΒΌ" (44 cm) x 7.5" (19cm).
