9.5 Inch Neophone Disc
-
Neophone Disc 1
-
Rare nine and a half inch Neophone record no. 16295 Band - Austrian March. Constructed of a strawboard base with a surface coating of celluloid the 'unbreakable' Neophone disc was patented by Dr. Michaelis in 1906. It had a short life as the business went bust in 1908. It was recorded 'Hill and Dale" but with a finer groove than Pathe so I can't tell you how it plays but it looks as if it should make some music with an appropriate diameter stylus.
